As your baby grows and begins exploring foods beyond milk, Capricare® Goat Milk Formula Stage 2 is designed to complement a diversified diet. Made from whole goat milk enriched with the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to supplement the diet of babies over 6 months old.

Goat whole milk, Lactose (from bovine milk), Vegetable oil blend (sunflower oils, canola oil, antioxidants (sunflower lecithin, mixed tocopherols)), Goat milk powders, Minerals (calcium citrate, di-calcium phosphate, sodium citrate, calcium hydroxide, ferrous sulphate, potassium chloride, zinc sulphate, copper sulphate, manganese sulphate, potassium iodide, sodium selenite), Vitamins (C, E, niacin, A, D3, calcium D-pantothenate, B12, K1, B1, B2, B6, folic acid, biotin), Choline chloride, L-tryptophan, L-isoleucine, Taurine, L-carnitine.

This product contains 38% goat milk on a dry matter basis.

Important: Breast milk is best for babies. Before you decide to use an infant formula, consult your doctor or clinic for advice. Capricare® 2 should form only part of a diversified diet and should not be used for infants under 6 months. May not be suitable for cow milk allergy.

Always add one scoop of powder (4.3 g) to 30 mL of water.
This information is given as a guide only. Follow your doctor’s advice to adjust quantities to your baby’s needs.

Sterilize

Always wash your hands and countertops beforeautre équipement en les faisant bouillir pendant au moins 2 minutes dans une casserole ouverte remplie d’eau. Faites bouillir de l’eau fraiche preparing the baby’s bottle. Sterilize bottles, nipples, caps and other equipment by boiling in an open pan of water for at least 2minutes. Boil fresh water for 2 minutes and allow to cool to room temperature.

Measure

Pour the required amount of cooled, boiled water (refer to feeding guide) into a sterilized bottle. Add the required number of level scoops of powder.

Prepare

Close the bottle. Immediately shake well until the powder is completely dissolved.

Test

Check the temperature of the preparation by sprinkling a few drops on the inside of your wrist.

"Last year, I was referred to the Department of Paediatrics, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute—a facility that cares for very ill babies under the supervision of Prof. Janusz Książyk, who also helps shape infant nutrition guidelines in Poland. High Quality Goat Formula

Easy to prepare, but questionable ingredients

My first impressions of the infant formula is it was easy to prepare and straight forward once the instructions were followed. It instructed me to add 7 scoops of formula per 210ml of water. Once mixed with water I didn't notice any clumping of the formula, ensuring the product and amount needed reaches the infant properly.
My thoughts on the ingredients and wanting to try it: once I saw goat milk, I was impressed as I've heard great things about goat milk. However, reading closely the ingredient list, it indicated vegetable oil blend (sunflower oils, canola oil), and Choline chloride, which I'm not impressed with whatsoever. These are not healthy for any human to consume over time as I've done my research on these ingredients. Part of the sampling program.

It's completely natural to have questions about what goes into infant formula. Because formula is strictly regulated by Health Canada to ensure it provides a complete nutritional profile, ingredients like Choline chloride and our non-GMO canola/sunflower oil blend are mandatory. They provide the essential Omega-6 (particularly LA), Omega 3 ALA, and brain-building nutrients that infants require to grow safely and we specifically choose canola to avoid soy allergens.

Goat formula for the win!

PART OF SAMPLING PROGRAM I am excited to try Capricare 2 formula for my 6 month old. I gravitated towards this formula for the benefits of easy digestion that comes with a goat milk formula. I have used traditional formulas in the past with my other kids and never thought of using a goat milk based formula as I was not aware of any good ones nor its benefits. After trying this formula I can safely assure that this will be a permanent part of my baby's diet. My baby was less fussy and seemed satisfied. The smell was gentle and clean. The packaging was secure and the spoon was very handy which made it easy to measure the formula. Instructions were clear on the packaging as well as after opening care for the box. Overall, I loved it.

Great formula, mixes very well!

It should have zero seed oils… but it’s a lot

It should have zero seed oils… but it’s a lot better then the stuff at Walmart full of heavy metals these are little children zero metal should be in any of it for our youth but money is more important

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We understand your concerns about seed oils and safety. Omega-6, particularly linoleic acid (LA), is an essential fatty acid required in infant formula. The most abundant sources of LA are canola and soy oils. Capricare uses canola oil because soy is a known allergen. Our canola oil is non-GMO and in addition to providing LA, canola oil is also a source of omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), another essential fatty acid required in infant formula.
