Why Whole Goat Milk Formula for Infants?

Capricare is a Whole Goat Milk Formula (WGF) and that’s what sets it apart. Unlike many formulas that use skim milk and then add fats back in, we keep the natural goodness of our whole goat milk intact:

✔ Around 50% milk fat, naturally present, not artificially added.

✔ Gently processed, made with care using only fresh whole goat milk.

✔ No added whey, which means no added beta-lactoglobulin, one of the proteins commonly linked to allergic response.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is goat milk formula easier to digest than cow’s milk formula?

Capricare is made with whole goat milk, which naturally contains less of the milk protein β-lactoglobulin than cow’s milk formulas made with added whey. Many parents find it gentle on their baby’s tummy, though as with all infant formula, individual digestion can vary. Talk to your doctor if your baby has ongoing digestive concerns.

Can I switch my baby to Capricare from another formula?

Yes. To support a gentle transition, it’s recommended to introduce Capricare gradually over a period of 3–7 days. Begin by replacing one scoop of your current formula with one scoop of Capricare when preparing a bottle. After 1–2 days, replace an additional scoop with Capricare. Continue this gradual approach until all scoops are from Capricare.

Can I use Capricare alongside breastfeeding?

Yes, Capricare can be used to supplement breastfeeding. Breast milk is best for babies, so if you’re able to continue breastfeeding, we’d encourage it alongside or instead of formula. Speak with your doctor before introducing formula.

Is Capricare suitable for a baby with a cow’s milk protein allergy?

Due to the similar proteins in cow and goat milk, goat milk cannot be recommended to infants diagnosed with a cow milk protein allergy (CMPA). However, because the amount of allergenic protein (as1-casein) is much lower in goat milk than cow milk, with no A1typebeta-casein protein, goat milk infant formula is often perfect for those with a cow milk intolerance or hypersensitivity.

Is Capricare Health Canada approved?

Yes. Capricare has been reviewed by Health Canada and has satisfied all Health Canada requirements for infant formula.

How many servings are there per can?

Each can contains 800 g of formula. One level scoop provides approximately 4.3 g. Feeding requirements vary by stage and age: Stage 1 typically uses 3–7 scoops per feed, providing approximately 27–62 servings per can.

I have a family history of eczema. Does that matter for choosing a formula?

Whole goat milk formula is an active area of clinical research for babies with a family history of eczema. New clinical research shows Capricare may significantly reduce the risk of doctor-diagnosed eczema in the first year of life in babies with a family history of eczema, when compared to babies fed cow milk formula.
